Our Cat Crew

Candycorn and Kettlecorn
What’s better than 1 tortie? 2 of them! Kettlecorn is the darker of the two, while Candycorn has more orange in her soft fur, with a fun orange blaze down her so kissable nose. These 2 girls were born to a feral mama in a backyard. Rumor has it they were so wild and hissy and ”poppy” that they were named after popcorn! They are two beautiful peas in a pod – and have beautiful personalities to match!
Annie
Annie is the 4th Tortie that we have had in the lounge – look at her startling unique split face! This 2-year-old sweetheart was rescued from the same 130 cat colony that George and Lila hailed from, where their human died in the house. She’s a bit shy at the get-go, but with enough sweet talking and scritches she is ready for hugs, head bumps and butt rubs. She quickly retreats to the safety of her hidey hole when the attention ceases BUT she is all about repeat lovins if you pick up where you left off. If you would like a challenge and have time to give out some scritches, Annie will surely be up for that! Come by and give her a scritch or two
Cassie
Cassie is our newest almost 1-year-old beautiful Agouti/spotted brown tabby – do you remember Lizzie from back in January? She has very similar ticking pattern except she does not have a reddish hue to her coat. This sweet little lady was an accidental TNR capture at the Sutter Cemetery – the rescue was trapping a 60+ strong cat colony out there when BOING! They caught a cat but no one of the ones they were hoping to trap! She was so overly friendly that the rescue kept her to find her a home. She is loving, laid-back and her goal in life is to follow her human and request head rubs.
Sylvie
Sylvie is our latest dilute tortie – she is a sweet and petite 4-month-old stunner with orange on her back and the sweetest “mew” you have ever heard. Pint-sized Sylvie is Skye’s sister (adopted 8/14) – together with their siblings they were rescued at one day old when they were trapped inside of a truck in the maintenance yard of a cemetery. Their mom was trapped as part of a TNR effort w/approximately 60 other stray cats! Mama was spayed and returned to her colony and Sylvie and her siblings were rescued so they can find their forever homes. When she’s not playing hard, her pastimes include hanging out on the couch with a human or napping on the nearest lap while you pet her, purring like a vintage engine.
Sully
Sawyer and Sully are the cutest little all black (with a few spots of white) QT Pie boys! These guys are NOT brothers BUT they are BFF, Best Furry Friends. These fun 4-month-olds LOVE hugs and kisses, butt rubs, and will nap on your lap almost on command. They were both rescued a 1-day-old from a cat colony at a cemetery were rescued. The only thing they enjoy more than napping in playing – they sound like a herd of horses are running through the place! With both going to one home, you can be assured that THEY will keep each other company AND YOU will get double the love and entertainment
Cream Puff
Cream Puff is a bit on the shyer side BUT once you pet him when he’s resting or sleeping his purr revs up and he’ll begin to warm up. This 6-month-old is the stunning color of a perfectly toasted marshmallow and just as sweet. He was rescued from a large cat colony that was left behind when the person feeding them moved. Cream Puff will do best in a calm and peaceful environment where he can really learn to trust and grow. He enjoys the company of other cats and perhaps the calm teenager or two
Titan
You’ve heard the term “double trouble” but what about “triple threat”? Titan is part of a trio of brother cats known as the “Triple Threat” (hat’s what they’re known as in their foster home) because when you find one of them, the other two are not far behind, NOT because they are bullies together! He is a 4-month-old Tuxedo boy who can be a little shy at first, but then watch out! He is a curious youngster with boundless energy and he is very playful once he gets to know you! Titan is bigger than his brothers, with a spot of white below his nose. He loves to explore and play – who needs TV when HE can be your entertainment every day?
Fluffy
Although initially born in a barn on a farm with his brother and sister and abandoned by his mama when their eves were barely open, Fluffy has grown to know love and home thanks to his foster mom, who bottle fed the 3 neonates until they could eat on their own! This 5-month-old boy is the sweetest of the babies, is quite the talker when he wants to be and totally relishes in his naps with his brother, Hagrid. Check out the only 2 white areas on this beauty – his ONE white whsker on the left side of his face and his tiny faded spot on his chest 🙂
Frieda
Frieda is a fun and lively little gal! She will observe you first before she approaches and then will wait for your greeting before purring and accepting pets. In fact, you can find her gazing out of one of our windows, always the keen observer! This 6-mont-old tabby, like Collie and others, was rescued from living outside of an apartment complex in Willows where she and many others kittens were abandoned during a terrible heat wave in Willows this summer. It’s no wonder that she prefers to be relaxing inside in the A/C!
Collie
Collie is our shy, fox-like medium hair stunner! Check out her unique markings and her pointed fox-like floor of a tail 🙂 She is about 4-months-old and while still acclimating to the space, she has managed to make friends with just about every youngster in the lounge. She LOVES to play BUT loves to nap more! Like Freida and others, Collie was rescued from living outside of an apartment complex in Willows where she and many others kittens were abandoned during a terrible heat wave in Willows this summer.
Gabe
Gabe is an extraordinarily handsome smoke tabby who has had some bad luck for most of his almost 15 months of life: he was adopted – and then returned back to the rescue – TWICE, by no fault of his own. At 3-4 months of age his adopters returned him due to complaints about diarrhea but upon further questioning they had failed to properly transition Gabe to his new food. The second time he had been settled into his new home for about a year when he was returned after a brief illness, citing he was too playful for the family’s older cat. Now acclimating to us months later and healthy, he is finally ready to find the human who wants to love him with all of his past, to help him unpack his bags, settle in, make himself to home and not give up on him. BONUS: this big guy LOVES dogs. He LOVES them SO much. If your family has a dog, it MUST love cats as much as Gabe will love him!
Addie
Addie is a cutie patootie curious cuddle bug! She’s very athletic – playing, boinging, running and climbing – you’d think she was practicing for American Gladiators! This 4-month-old gray tabby has been fostered with young children and enjoys kisses and being carted around, kid-style! She is also quite fond of Chihuahuas, although she yet to decide exactly how she feels about big dogs. Addie was rescued at a few days old and was a bottle baby until a sweet surrogate kitty mama could be found. She has been in her current foster home awaiting for forever home ever since.
Adoption Process
First you will make a reservation to meet our adoptable kitties. Adoption fees vary, according to the age of the kitten or cat.
All kitties over 4 months also have had their rabies vaccinations. All kittens have been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, received their flea and de-wormer treatments, and basic booster shots.
Your new kitten adoption also includes a beautiful gift basket, a bag of our premium branded cat litter and a starter bag of kitten food. When you visit, let our staff know you are actively looking to adopt.
When you fall in love with a kitty, one of our Au Purrs will connect you to one of our rescue partners. Adoption approvals are typically finalized on-site, which means you may take home your new family member the same day.
*Please note that we don’t complete adoptions after the last session hour. Pick-ups may be arranged for the following day.
Kitten Adoption FAQs
Our adoption rates are very high so a lot of times a kitty you see online has the potential to already have been adopted. Please note, we do not “hold” kitties. If you are interested in a cat or kitten, but cannot bring them home within a week, we cannot guarantee that feline will be available when you are ready. Because there are always kittens that need to be pulled from needy rescues and shelters, we like to make room for new kitties as soon as we can.
We do a deep clean of our cat lounge 3 times a week and monitor the kitties every day for potential illness. Just like with people though, sometimes the kitties are asymptomatic (not showing signs of illness) while they are with us and end up getting adopted and going home. Our rescue partners can help you if this happens. Please reach out to us and we will get you in touch with them!
Here are the details on how to make that happen at The Great Catsby Cat Café and Lounge. And yes! 100% of the adoption fees go to our rescue partners.

Oh yes, and we would love it if you did! We have matchmakers right here in the café who will help you find the right feline companion for you or your family and will walk you through the process. We record all our adoptions and post them – our goal is to find great homes for all our furry friends so that we can foster more. Keep checking back to see the impact that you, our loyal guests, are making!
No worries––our café is open to all. If you simply love cats but are unable to bring one home, we welcome you just the same. Until our kitties find their new homes, they need all the love and affection they can get (and they have a lot to give, too!). Please feel free to come by, grab some coffee, and snuggle up with a furry friend. And if you know someone who’s been searching for a kitty friend, give ‘em a nudge to visit! You can also consider supporting us in other ways, such as by donating to a local cat rescue.
Yes. All cats are examined by our rescue partners before arrival, which includes being spayed/neutered, microchipped, receiving updated vaccinations, and possible testing for FeLV & other viruses/illnesses. If you have any questions, please contact us or chat with a café team member during your visit.
Super clean. We follow cleaning procedures similar to hospitals and veterinary clinics and are cleaning and lint rollering hourly, in addition to bi-weekly steam cleaning of all furniture, human and feline. Our cats are well-screened by our rescue partners to ensure they are healthy and we take VERY good care of them here. We also run medical-grade air purifiers in each main room and clean and sanitize every hour. With any animal facility, there is a small risk of zoonotic illnesses but we work extremely hard to make sure everyone stays healthy and sanitary. We have many extra precautions to prevent human illness too.
The cats and kittens at The Great Catsby are provided by our various cat rescue partners. The Great Catsby plans to have an initial out-reach to over 5 counties (Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Yuba and Shasta) throughout Northern California. Currently, we contract with 5 different cat rescues. Many of our kitties will be transferred in to our rescue partners from rural shelters that do not have the resources to support felines.
There will be approximately 12 -15 cats and kittens in our cat lounge at any given time, all available for adoption.
